Dr. Larry E. Nigh
Bro. Larry has served as pastor of Northeast Baptist Church for the past 28 years (1984-present). He came to Ponca City from the Alameda Baptist Church, Norman, OK. He and his wife, Sandy, have two grown children Julie Free and Jason Nigh, and five grandchildren Caleb, Kate, and Nicole, Haley, and Reysa.
Sandy has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from OBU, a Masters of Education degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a Masters of Nursing degree from the University of Oklahoma. She has been an instructor of nursing at Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa, OK. for over 17 years.
Bro. Larry has a Bachelor of Religion degree from OBU, a Masters of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, MO. He has pastored for the past 35 years serving at First Baptist Church, Gage, OK; Alameda Baptist Church, Norman, OK, and Northeast Baptist Church, Ponca City, OK.
Bro. Larry enjoys playing golf and racquetball. He and his wife enjoy hiking in the mountains and traveling with family and friends.
Bro. Larry has led the church through several building and remodeling projects through the years. The church built a new 680 seat worship center in November, 1996 and the Family Life Center building in May, 2004.
